CHELSEA soccer ace Michael Essien is facing the UK court over claims he doesn't have a British driving licence.
Cops pulled over the 26-year-old midfielder in his black Mercedes on the A23 near Brighton.
Essien, who earns £90,000 a week, should have sat a driving test and exchanged his Ghanaian licence for a British one within a year of joining Chelsea in 2005 for £24.4million.
He was arrested for suspected drink-driving in 2007 before being vindicated by blood tests.
