Lions Coach Yusif Abubakar rules out Kotoko move

Heart of Lions Head Trainer Yusif Abubakar has ruled out a move to Asante Kotoko, stating that he is committed to his contract at the Kpando-based club though an offer to coach the Kumasi-based club would be attractive.
The ex-Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea Coach had been linked to the Porcupine Warriors job following reports that Masud Dramani is set to be sacked for the Kumapem lads patchy run in the Ghana Premier League.
“I am committed to my contract and I don’t this is the time for me to do that. Nobody in Ghana would say he will not like to coach Kotoko but for now I personally know I am working with Heart of Lions,” Abubakar told DailySoccerGhana.com in an exclusive interview.
Yusif Abubakari led Heart of Lions to a second placed finish in the local league last season and has so far guided the club to secure the 5th spot after 7 match days this season, making him one of the revered young coaches in the country.
Meanwhile, DailySoccerGhana.com checks have revealed that Masud Dramani is still at post despite reports that he has been asked to proceed on leave.
However, the former Black Maidens Coach could be sacked by the Porcupine Warriors management in the coming days if the results of the club in the local league do not improve.
