Lions Put Six on Transfer

……Meteors player affected.

In their quest to parade a comprehensive and a compact team ahead of next season’s Onetouch Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup, management and technical staff of Kpando based Heart of Lions, have put six members of their playing staff on the club’s transfer list.

Disclosing this in an exclusive interview last Wednesday, an official of the technical team, who preferred to remain anonymous said, the decision to put the six on the transfer list was as a result of an adherent to the club’s disciplinary measures, thus to do away with the ‘bad nuts’ and out-of-form players at the end of every soccer season.

Surprisingly among the list is midfield petit dynamo Obed Ansah, who also happens to be a kipping of the Ghana’s current male Olympic soccer side, the Black Meteors.

Ansah, according our investigations, ranks high on the club’s indiscipline list, a situation which officials finds it difficult to cooperate hence the axing of the Meteors star.

Also on the list is former Black Starlets defender Johnson Eklu, who has being with the club since their entry into the Premiership.

The rest are, Samuel Ocran, Dennis Amoako, Abdul Razak and veteran, Stephen Owusu.

However, the club has also engaged the services of three players from relegated Premiership side Power F/C as they prepare for next season. They are, Daniel Quao, striker Allan Shearer and Addoquaye Addo, who has being on the rising note since joining Lions, a situation when even earned him the man-of-the-match award in their 2-1 victory over Hearts of Oak last Sunday at the Robert Mensah Staduim.

The recruited stars are Richmond Dokutse from African United, Samuel Ellis from Sekondi Hasaacas as well as Abdel Bassil.
