GreenGEN Fc from the Lizzy Sports Academy has been crowned champions of the Paris world games in France.

The team from Ghana won both the u/12 and u/14 completion’s, beating of fierce contests from teams from countries like France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Brazil and England to win the glittering trophy at stake.

The team played seven matches in total before emerging as the eventual winners of the youth championship with the tournament lasting for five days.

The team that is currently on a tour in Europe will play next in the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Management member Vermillion Arthur expressed sheer delight over the team's victory and believes there is more to come from the team. "We are so elated for emerging as champions it wasn't easy but with determination, the boys pulled this of".

The team chalked up an enviable record last year when they won the Dubai u/13 international cup.

GreenGen Fc is a developing football Academy that trains at Lizzy Sports Complex with the aim of growing the generation of football talents in Africa.
