Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Thomas Abbey believes local players have a chance in the Black Stars team following the appointment of Kwesi Appiah.
The hard working player is optimistic about the chances of the home-based players in the senior National team.
Abbey is likely to make the local-Black Stars team after hitting tremendous form for Hearts of Oak this season.
The versatile player has already the Hearts of Oak player of the month award.
“I think local players have a chance, he (Kwesi Appiah) monitors the League and so I believe he knows the talents in the local League,” he told TV3.
“I am confident this time around more players from the League will get a chance in the Black Stars team.”
Kwesi Appiah has been monitoring the Ghana Premier League since he was re-appointed as head Coach of the Black Stars.
