Loins midfielder Amoah fights management

Hearts of Lions midfielder Ofosu Amoah is facing police arrest for threatening the club’s team manager with death.

Yashi Laryea reported to the Kwabenya Police in the Greater Accra that his life was at risk following Amoah’s utterances.

But the diminutive midfielder has denied threatening to kill although he confirmed he is owed salary arrears.

“I was very angry and so I told the team manager that I would curse him, but I never said I will kill him,” Amoah said.

“I said I would curse him because he put me on the transfer list when I was the team captain and secondly because the club refused to pay me my money,” he added.

Amoah moved to Heart of Lions in 2010 and was loaned to second-tier side Great Olympics this season.

He was forced to terminate his contract with Olympics over differences in his wages after training for three days.

“Olympics offered to pay me GH¢300 a month, but since Heart of Lions were paying me GH¢500 a month. So I asked Olympics who was going to pay me the remaining GH¢200,” he said.

“The Olympics hierarchy told me to contact Heart of Lions for the money. So I decided not play for the team after training with them for three days,” he disclosed.
