Lorient were unable to field newly acquired striker Majeed Waris on Sunday because of incomplete paper works.
The Ghana international was included in coach Sylvain Ripoll’s team that travelled to Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday in their Ligue 1 opener.
But Waris was not used and could not sit on the bench either.
This is because the former Trabzonspor player is ‘exit letter’ from the Turkish Football Federation.
Waris completed a €4.5m move last week to Lorient as a replacement for compatriot Jordan Ayew who was sold to Aston Villa.
