The coach believes his side can go on to enjoy further success on the international scene following their victory in Brazil, and says his team will not rest following their win
Joachim Low is confident that his Germany side can build on their World Cup triumph by going on to dominate the international stage.
Low, who took over as Germany coach in 2006, guided Die Mannschaft to their fourth World Cup title after Mario Gotze scored an extra-time winner against Argentina in the tournament’s final on Sunday.
Gotze, 22, was one of many German players to be making their debut at a World Cup and Low believes the strong talent coming through the ranks will stand the European outfit in good stead to make waves on the international scene.
"This title will give us a boost once again,” the coach told Sky Sport. “This team has good prospects. We have a great future with many young players who have been greatly educated [in football].
“The players always show no fear and are never afraid and clearly the aim is now [to succeed in] Euro 2016 in France.
“I can imagine that we are soon going to be experiencing a German era in world football, as it previously was Spanish. All I can say is that we will not sit back now and say, ‘that's it’.
"I’m still enjoying my job, it's still fun,” added Low, who plans to see out his contract, which expires in 2016.
