MTN FA Cup: Wassaman, New Edubiase locked in battle of wills

With the MTN FA Cup final scheduled for July 29 2012, the stakes are high for Wassaman United and New Edubiase United on Sunday, when both teams clash for a slot in the grand Finale against Ashanti Gold.

Wassaman United and New Edubiase United will both welcome their head coaches Yusif Abubakar and Anthony Commey back on the bench after the end of the CAF license A Coaching course in Prampram today.

New Edubiase United will miss three key players in Sunday’s match at the Accra Sports Stadium since reigning Premier league goal-king Emmanuel Baffoe, club captain Mumuni Abubakar and Asiedu Attobrah will not be present. Commey however thinks it will not affect his team on Sunday.

“We have equally good players, who can do well if given the opportunity. I am hopeful the rest of the squad will do well come Sunday”.

Meanwhile, Wassaman United head coach Yusif Abubakar, who will be eyeing the coach of the tournament Award in the MTN FA Cup, thinks it will be a good game to watch.

“We have done well but that is not the end. We can still do well, we are poised for action on Sunday and the best team will make it to the Final.”

Women and Children spectators who are under the age of 10 can attend the MTN FA CUP semi-final match free of charge according to the FA Cup Committee.
