MacCaulley wins Tema Medal Golf

Tema, April 26, GNA - Leonard MacCaulley returned 71 net to win the Tema Country Golf Club's April Monthly Medal competition played at Tema on Saturday.

MacCaulley, who won this year's Accra Open, scored 36 In and 37 Out with a handicap of two to lift the trophy which was donated by the club. Frank Etwi-Barimah beat Nana Owusu-Afari on countback to take the second position while Esther Antwi returned 77 net to win the only prize in the Ladies category.

At Achimota, Daniel Opoku-Mensah returned 66 net to become the proud winner of the P.D. Quartey Memorial competition sponsored by Dr Sydney Quartey, President of the Achimota Golf Club.

Alfred Neequaye placed second with 73 net, Joseph Odei third with 74 net while E. Prempeh placed fourth with 75 net.

Ama Morgan won the Ladies category with 70 net while Joy Arkutu was second with 72 net beating Mary Asafu-Adjaye on count-back. The competition was played in memory of Mr P.D. Quartey, former member of the Achimota Golf Club who died 15 years ago.
