Ahead of the Stephen Appiah testimonial match, reports from the various selling centers indicate that there has been massive demand for the tickets with two days to the event, Sportscrusader.com can confirm.
According to Dela Aidam, one of the ticket vendors at the Accra Sports Stadium, he started selling the tickets this morning but the rush for the tickets means he has exhausted his stock.
A visit to Osu Shell Filling Station also revealed that the ten and twenty cedis (Ghc10.00 and Ghc20.00) tickets have been sold out, with only a few of the fifty cedis (Ghc50.00) tickets left while the hundred cedis (Ghc100.00) are selling steadily.
Speaking to Sportscrusader.com, Agnes Antwi from the Shell Filling Station said, “We have never sold tickets like this at this station before.
The way people are rushing for the tickets is really amazing and I think those who want to get tickets will have to do so before Friday because if it continues like this, i am afraid people will not get tickets. We have been assured that we shall have more tickets by the close of today”.
Places like Joy FM, Peace FM, Baatsona Total Fuel Station and the Puma Shop at the Accra Mall have all confirmed massive demand for the tickets.
