Madrid linked with Baba Rahman

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Ghana defender Abdul Rahman Baba, according to a report in Bild.

The 20-year-old has been in excellent form for Augsburg this season and has attracted interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Parma and Schalke.

However, Madrid are understood to have jumped to the head of the queue to land the youngster and are contemplating a summer bid to bring him to the Spanish capital.

Baba has settled effortlessly into his role on the left of Augsburg’s defence since joining the Bavarians from Greuther Furth last year, while he has been instrumental in his team’s challenge for a European place this season.

It is believed that the Bundesliga outfit would only be willing to do business if they receive a bid of between €15m and €20m.
