Asamoah Gyan had a special guest watching in Dubai as his goal sent Al Ain to the top of the Emirate league with a close 2-1 win over rivals Al Jazira on Sunday.
Sharaf Mahama,the 22-year-old son of Ghana's president, John Dramani Mahama, was Gyan's guest during the game and seemed to enjoy watching the captain of his country's football team [Black Stars] in action as he [Gyan] scored his 11th goal of the season.
Sharaf, a student in Dubai and a keen football fan, spent time with Gyan before the game, posing for pictures that were shared on the official website of Asamoah Gyan.
The Black Stars captain also tweeted about the special moment for him before and after the game, revealing a special relationship between the two.
Gyan's goal helped Al Ain open a six-point lead atop the league and gives them a chance to reclaim the league title they lost last season.
