Ghanaian striker Mahatma Otoo will be out of action for three weeks due to a thigh injury.
The forward was forced out of his side’s clash with Altidornu on Sunday after feeling a sharp pain in the thigh and subsequently requested to be replaced after 30 minutes.
An MRI scan and tests results on Tuesday revealed a minor thigh muscle injury which will keep Otoo out for three weeks.
Mahatma Otoo wrote in a social media post “Today’s MRI revealed a minor muscle related issue. Hmm!, occupational hazard. Doctors say treatment and recovery will take three weeks. God willing, I shall return in grand style.”
The former Hearts of Oak skipper will miss Wednesday’s return leg of the FA Cup against Trabzonspor which Balikespor desperately need a win having lost 2-1.
He will also miss a home game to Eskisehirspor and away to Osmanlispor on January 27 and February 1 respectively in the league.
