France-based Ghana forward Majeed Waris contributed in Lorient win in the Ligue1 on Saturday evening.

The Former Valenciennes goal-poacher scored on the 39th and 49th minutes of the game to help Lorient beat their arch rival Guingamp by 4 goals to 3 to grant Lorient the three precious points.

Waris was playing his first game after he was promoted back in the Lorient first team.

The former Hacken hitter was demoted to Team B after misbehaving toward coach Ripoll by walking straight in the dressing room ,as he was replaced after a player was red carded in a game weeks back.

Waris proved that he is matured for the coming challenges with Les Merlus with his performance on Saturday against Guingamp.

The win means Lorient will be away from the relegation zone on the Ligue1 table.
