Mali is the first country to arrive for the Ninth edition of the African Armwrestling Championship in Accra, fixed for July 26-29, at the Hathramani Hall at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Malian team who took part in the eighth edition of the Africa Armwrestling Championship in Lagos, Nigeria and came third with eight gold, two silver and four bronze medals have been tipped to topple all in the up-coming Championships.
Other dignitaries who have arrived in the country were, Marcea Simonescu, the General Secretary of the World Armwrestling Federation and Julien Boumsong of the Africa Armwrestling Federation.
Nigeria, Madagascar, Egypt, Cameroon, Morocco and other African Countries are expected to arrive on Wednesday evening.
The Championship, would set to see about 14 African Countries and over 150 Athletes competing for the various medals.
The 2018 Africa Armwrestling championship is sponsored by Go On Energy Drink, K-Balm Ointment, Aayalolo Transport, AMA, Uncle T Malt, Henry’s Inn Restaurant, Wonak Abi Ent, Eagle Extra Stout and Media partners.
