Marwako Restaurant fetes McDan Unity Cup winners La Town XI

The management of Marwako Fast Food Ltd on Tuesday evening hosted the all conquering La Town XI Football Team to a dinner with the La Manste Dr. Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru presenting as Special Guest of honour.

The heiracy of the victors of the 2017 McDan Ga Adangbe Unity Cup presented the glittering giant trophy to the overlord of the land as he blessed them to continue to be successful.

Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Marketing Manager of Marwako Food Ltd, who is also well vested in Ghana Sports hailed the La Town XI star studded squad that featured players like Kwame Kizito, Nurudeen Ibrahim, Maxwell Quaye, Samuel Bekoe, Isaac Twum, Samuel Sarfo Maldini and Ashitey Ollenu.

He expressed in his welcome address that Marwako is proud to be associated with champions and urged the people of La and Accra to join the champions to celebrate. He informed that Marwako has branches in Abelempke, Spintex, Mamobi and Labadi.

Mr. Ziyad Zaabalawi, General Manager of Marwako Food Ltd said the victory of the La Football team has brought joy, inspiration and motivation to individuals and the people of La as well as the business community, because football is a tool for advertising and creating peaceful coexistence.

He noted that as the venue for the McDan Unity Cup was just behind the restaurant, they also supported the hosts to win.

He commended the players and urged them to maintain their forms or improve for the next tournament as they would defend the title.

Doris Mawulam, Stock Manager of Marwako Food informed the party about tasty and nutritious meals provided in a clean atmosphere and recommended Marwako in the festive season.

Chairman of the La Football team Ernest Tetteh aka Shoney thanked the management of Marwako for the recognition and support.

He hinted that the success of the team which swept all the honours at the tournament was due to support that he got from many people and places.



He congratulated the players and technical men led by coach Ricky Amkpemfo and TM Anthony Tetteh.

The La Manste was accompanied by Nii Oteng-Abafum Manste and Nyonmostaa Wulomo, all elders of the La Traditional Council.

The dinner was attended by the media representing online, radio, television and print, as well as the Organising Committee of the McDan Football events.
