Juvenile club of crooked Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, Asokwa Deportivo, will be organizing an intercessory prayer for the midfielder this Friday to reverse his persistent injuries, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
Amidu Camarat, President of the club suggests Asamoah’s injury woes are spiritual and fears his mercurial talent could come to a premature end.
Asamoah suffered a latest blow at the weekend when he missed Juventus’ 3-1 win over Fiorentina in the Serie A with a fresh muscle problem which has sidelined him for one month.
The Ghana international was ruled out of Ghana’s participation in the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea due to a knee injury which ruled him out for close to one year.
“On Friday, we shall go to the mosque to organize some prayers for him for Allah to heal him and reverse whatever curse that is befalling him,” Camarat told GHANAsoccernet.com in an interview.
“Then on Sunday, we shall accompany our Christian brothers to offer similar prayers for the boy at Asokwa Presby Church. We believe a spell has been cast upon the boy. But we shall rely on the onmipottence of Allah to reverse it,” he added.
Kwadwo Asamoah was reported to be on the sideline again on Monday after putting up a convincing performance against Lazio a week earlier.
