Asante Kotoko suffered yet another disappointing defeat in the Ghana premier league at the hands of Aduana stars on Sunday at the Dormaa park.

Former Asante Kotoko striker Yahaya Mohammed delivered on his promise as he struck the winner to condemn the porcupines to their third defeat of the season.

Aduana captain Godfred Saka could not recover in time to feature but the fire club did not appear to have missed his services in the game as fought hard to secure their second win of the season.

The first half was fairly balance as both teams failed to utilize the rare goal scoring opportunities that came their way.

Aduana dominated the first 15 minutes but the Porcupines quickly regrouped and took control of the game from the 25th minute mark to the end with Bennett Ofori missing a sitter.

The fire club just like in the first half began the second strongly. They bombarded Kotoko with constant attacks and were rewarded in the 55th minute.

CCN goal of the week winner weaved his way through Kotoko defence before setting up Yahaya Mohammed who smashed home from close range to preserve Aduana's unbeaten record at home against Kotoko.

Aduana took their foot slightly off the peddle after scoring yet Kotoko could not fetch the equaliser.

They huffed and puffed but could not break the house of Aduana stars with the likes of Stephen Adams and Emmanuel Akuoku remaining resolute in defence.

As the tradition continued. Kotoko have now failed to score a goal at the Dormaa park in seven attempts.

Under-fire Coach David Duncan kept faith in Ernest Sowah in spite of Ofori Antwi's heroics in last week FA cup against AK Shion.

And the experience goalkeeper pulled off a top class save to deny Aduana a first half lead. However, a couple of minutes after recess he picked a knock and was replaced by Eric Ofori Antwi.

Aduana will travel to Berekum to take on Chelsea on Match Day 6 whilst Asante Kotoko will welcome Liberty professionals.
