Elmina Sharks were frustrated by Inter Allies to 0-0 draw at the Papa Kwesi Ndoum Stadium on match day 13 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
Kobina Amissah’s men dominated proceedings in the opening 45 minutes but failed to create any clear-cut chance as the half ended in a stalemate.
Kwame made a string of spectacular stops in the second half, with the pick being a David de Gea-style save that saw him spread himself brilliantly at the back post to keep out a Benjamin Tweneboah fierce drive.
The away side had their moments and they got into their stride as the game wore on but were limited to long balls which was duly dealt with by Francis Arthur in Elmina Sharks goal post.
The Sharks frustrations continued with captain Tetteh Nortey shot flying just over the goal post and McCarthy’s looping header back off the bar. They had 14 efforts at goal in total but none were successful.
Referee Kyeremah Yeboah whistled for the 90 minutes to come to a close after a frustrating game for the home side.
The draw leaves Elmina Sharks 11th position while Inter Allies maintain their 12th spot with 15 points.
