Young forward Haruna Jamal netted a double to propel WAFA to a 3-1 win over Dreams FC in the NC Special Competition on Wednesday.

The Academy Boys recovered well from their 4-0 heavy defeat at Hearts of Oak on Sunday as they put the under-performing Dreams side to the sword.

After two defeats in three games – in which the Academy Boys had conceded 5 goals and scored twice – they face an under-performing Dreams FC side at the Redbull Arena.

WAFA had scored in every home game since the start of the competition and all their home games have resulted in over 1.5. Liewig’s boys have bagged 10 goals 5 games (2 goals per game). The story continued as the visitors hit the back of the net.

Jamal poked in the opening goal on the half-hour mark before Augustine Boakye doubled the lead in the 50th minute.

WAFA increased the tally on the 76th-minute mark through Haruna Jamal as WAFA cruised to victory.
