Mathew Amoah trains with Kozakken Boys

Veteran Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah has started training with Dutch amateur side Kozakken Boys and could join them this winter, Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal.

Amoah has been inactive since his contract with Heracles Almelo came to an end in the summer and is training with the amateur Dutch side at Sports Park Zwaaier in order to take shape and get a contract.

The 34-year-old who featured for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany has previously played for Vitesse, Fortuna Sittard, Borussia Dortmund (Germany), NAC Breda, SC Heerenveen and is considered as one of the best foreign players the Dutch league has seen.

With the departure of Papiss Berry Powel to IJsselmeervogels, Amoah might be the right person to lead the Topklasse side.

Kozakken Boys finished 8th in the Topklasse last season.
