Former United Kingdom (UK) High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin has paid tribute to Jordan Ayew over his goalscoring exploits for Crystal Palace in the ongoing English Premier League.
Ayew has been in spectacular form for Crystal Palace since joining on a permanent deal for £2 million from Swansea City in the summer, scoring goals for fun in arguably the most difficult championship in the world.
The 28-year-old demonstrated his importance to the side once again on Saturday when he fired home the lone goal to earn them valuable three points.
The goal was the Ghana forward’s seven goals for the London-based club in their fight to escape the drop.
It means Roy Hodgson’s side have benefitted 13 points from his goals. He also has one assist to his credit.
Without his goals, Palace will be languishing in the bottom three of the standings.
Jon Benjamin, who is a staunch West Ham United fan, eulogized the improved outings of the Ghana international in the league this term.
Respect to Jordan Ayew by the way - his goals have won 13 points for Crystal Palace this season, without which Palace would be in the bottom three. Not bad for a player bought for just £2.5 million - peanuts in modern #EPL terms.
