Black Stars B coach Maxwell Knonadu has highlighted the significance of the side’s friendly with the Local Hawks of Togo ahead of their clash on Sunday.

They two sides will lock horns at the Stade de Kage in Lome to test their preparedness for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers next month.

Ghana will visit Burkina Faso while Togo take on Benin in next month’s qualifier.

And Maxwell Konadu outlines the significance of the game.

“It’s good because in the first place we are playing away from home. All our friendly matches have been played on home soil so we need the challenge outside our comfort zone,” Maxwell noted.

“It’s important to emphasise that we will be playing the first leg of the CHAN qualifier with Burkina Faso away. So we need a similar atmosphere to strengthen ourselves.

“The Togo game will present us with a similar situation against Burkina and we need it for the team. How they will react to defeat and officiating is very key ahead of the Burkina Faso game,” he added.

The Black Stars B have played 8 friendly matches with 6 wins and two draws, scoring 24 goals and conceding 6 in the process.
