The Chairman of Berekum Arsenals, Alhaji Mohammed Yakubu has debunked claims that Asante Kotoko cannot register Francis Aggrey for the premiership. The Arsenals Chairman has stated there are no strings whatsoever attached to the player that should impede his move to the African Cup Winners Cup campaigners.
Yakubu who was contacted for his reactions on a purported letter written by the Acting Chairman of Power F.C. Mr. Emmanuel Addo stated that the player in question is duly registered by Arsenals and not Power F.C. and therefore saw no reason why anybody can block the Berekum club from effecting his transfer to any other side in the country or elsewhere.
Expatiating further on the deal between his club and Power F.C, in respect of Aggrey a. k. a. Mboma, Alhaji admitted that Arsenals is mandated to pay 30 per cent of the total sum that may accrue from the sale of the player to another club. He conceded not paying the 30 per cent to Power F.C. yet but wondered whether that means Power F.C. can block the sale of the player.
The Arsenals boss would not divulge how much was accrued from the current deal with Kotoko but promised to settle the 30 per cent due Power FC as soon as everything is sorted out.
