Medeama SC chief Ben Kesse has insisted that Nathaniel Asamoah is not on their radar after the striker mutually terminated his contract with Morrocan giants Raja Casablanca this month.
The 25-year-old, despite his splendid campaign in Ghana last season scoring 18 goals and finishing as second top scorer in the league, failed to impress at Raja which led to his premature exit from the club.
Reports in the local media last week indicated that Asamoah is on the verge of joining Medeama ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup campaign.
“He is now a free player and can decide to play for any club,” Kesse was quoted as saying by Dailysoccerghana.
“We’ve not yet decided to hand him a new contract after the termination of his contract with Raja Casablanca. His importance has not come to our table for discussion,” he added.
Asamoah played four matches with Raja - two league games and two cup games- scoring one goal.
Medeama have dragged Raja to Fifa for failing to pay the transfer fee of Asamoah before terminating his contract.
