Medeama Sporting Club laboured to defeat Asante Kotoko 2-1 on Friday, August 16, 2024, to officially open the newly built T&A Stadium.

The stunning T&A Stadium, built by Gold Fields, will house Medeama Sporting Club following its completion.

Gold Fields has formally handed the edifice to Medeama SC as the club prepares to use the facility in the 2023/24 Ghanaian football season.

To open the stadium, Medeama SC hosted Asante Kotoko in an exhibition match that produced an entertaining contest. At the end of a pulsating encounter, Medeama SC cruised past Asante Kotoko with a 2-1 victory for the bragging rights.

After the win, the Stadium is ready to host matches. Medeama Sporting Club will use the venue as home grounds in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season and the next MTN FA Cup.
