Medeama have dismissed reports in Ghana that the club has agreed on a deal with Annor Walker for him to replace Prince Owusu.
Media reports in the West African country has it that the Berekum Chelsea youth coach is in line to fill the empty seat as one of the numerous suitors for the job.
Departing Prince Owusu recommended Walker to the club, but the Tarkwa-based side have flatly denied they are considering signing him.
“There is no truth in the reports. In fact, we don’t even know where they are coming from,” Medeama president Moses Armah told GHANAsoccernet.com
“We have no such plans of signing him. He’s not part of the coaches we’re considering at the moment.
“In due course, we’ll announce the new coach for the club so I will urge our supporters to be patient with us.”
Medeama are in the market scouting for a new coach following the imminent departure of Prince Owusu.
The former Tema Youth man is leaving for Sudan to take up an appointment as the assistant coach of ambitious top-flight side Al Khartoum.
