Public Relations officer of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has alleged some persons within Ghana’s media fraternity are paid to run his body down.

Daara, who made the allegation on Dwedwamu, Kasapa FM’s afternoon sports show Wednesday said such machinations were unknown to the public.

“The public doesn’t know certain people in the media are paid to run us down,” he told host Tony Adam Adjei.

“Some people are moving round corrupting some media houses with monies to run the GFA down.”

A former BBC Journalist, he was answering questions on issues surrounding the imminent exit of FIFA boss Joseph Sepp Blatter.

Blatter, who was re-elected over the weekend for a fifth term in an election overshadowed by corruption allegations, has offered to resign.

At an hurriedly arranged press conference Monday evening, he said “My mandate does not appear to be supported by everybody.”

He has subsequently asked the body to call a congress that should lead to his departure.
