As the Greater Accra Handball Association (GAHA) Elective Congress gets closer, information circulating in the media indicates that members of the Handball fraternity, have neglected the nomination forms to contest for the various roles as at deadline on Friday, October 25, 2019.

So far, Prisons player and Cantonment Youth Coach, Hilary Mills is the only person to have picked and submitted a form for the position of the Organizing Secretary since nomination was officially opened and announcement made on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 for the Elective Congress.

According to news sources, the entire current Executive led by Paul Kofi Yesu Dadzie are tired of leading the enthusiastic sport due to many talks about their administration and want to pave way for fresh minds to come and steer the affairs of the Greater Accra Handball Association.

Meanwhile, the current executive after several attempts and hardwork, have secured a sponsorship deal worth GH50,000.00 from Ghana Gas Company Limited on Wednesday October 2, 2919 and now has the Corporate entity as their League title sponsor (Ghana Gas Handball League).

As it stands, the Congress slated for Saturday, November 2 at 9am at the SoTT Auditorium, Ghana Air Force Base, in Burma Camp, will decide on the next line of action as the lack of interest in the Executive positions this year becomes the first time while the Constitution has nothing on such situation.

It is either delegates at Congress agrees that the current Executive continue in office for another 4 years after their first term, or give more time for interested people to pick up nomination forms.
