Inter Allies youngster, Evans Mensah has set sights on moving to greener pastures in Europe because the local league do not provide him money.

Evans Mensah has been outstanding for Inter Allies in the early stages of this year’s Ghana Premier League, winning the best player on the pitch twice.

His stupendous performance against Dreams FC at the Tema sports stadium last weekend was eulogised by all and sundry who watched the game.

But the young attacking winger says he is only using the local scene as a platform to gain recognition for a deal to Europe.

“I have been working hard for the season but unfortunately I didn’t play the second game (of the season against Liberty Professionals) which I was sad, but those decisions is part of the game,” Evans Mensah, scorer of Inter Allies first equaliser against Dreams FC said.

“I did what i had to do and I was re-instated to the line up and I did what i had to do; to keep the ball rolling. I am surprised I won (the man of the match) but I am happy about it.”

Evans Mensah added that his target is to secure a good move abroad.

“My target is to use this (local league) as a stepping stone, get the experience and move on to Europe.

He explained that “it is not as if I don’t like the (local) league but, I have family and other responsibilities to take care of and the money is not coming and the best thing is a move to Europe because you’ll get money.” He said.
