Mensah returns to lead Ghana in quarterfinal

FRANCEVILLE, Gabon - John Mensah returns to captain Ghana in Sunday’s African Cup of Nations quarterfinal against Tunisia at Stade de Franceville.

The Ghana Football Association says Mensah is one of two changes by coach Goran Stevanovic for the last-eight match, with Sulley Muntari also back in the starting lineup after being rested for the 1-1 draw with Guinea in the last group game.

Defenders John Pantsil and Isaac Vorsah miss out on the starting 11.

Mensah returns for his first game since being sent off in Ghana’s tournament opener against Botswana.

Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew will again lead Ghana’s attack, while Anthony Annan will start in the center of midfield three days after his mother died unexpectedly back home.
