Former Bastia and Chelsea midfeilder, Michael Essien, is contesting with four other defensive midfielders (number 6 position) for a place in ‘Ghana’s Finest 2.’
Essien is in a battle with former Hearts of Oak midfielder Adolf Armah, ex-Asante Kotoko middleman Ibrahim Sunday, ex-Hearts of Oak enforcer Joe Ghartey and ex-Sekondi Hasaacas midfielder Aggrey Fynn.
The ‘Ghana’s Finest 22’ concept is to select the best 22 players out 55 players who have graced the turf and also lifted the image of the nation.
The ‘Ghana’s Finest 22’ is powered by Primeval Media in association with FNB Consult, and according to the organizers two defensive midfielders will have to be selected from the five nominated midfielders.
