Accra, May 9, GNA - German football coach, Ernst Middendorp, is dreaming of the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

Middendorp, who arrived in Ghana on Thursday for personal duties, said it would be a fantastic opportunity to handle the Black Stars.

The Ghana Football Association is head hunting for replacement for axed coach Claude Le Roy after the Frenchman's contract expiration was brought forward by a month.

The German told GNA Sports on Friday that it remained the realistic dream of every coach to land the job Le Roy held for two years.

"It will be an honour for every coach in the world to handle the Black Stars."

"With their player quality, amazing form and the fact that they were excellent at the World Cup in Germany 2006 and also knowing they can qualify for that of South Africa in 2010 is even enough motivation."

But the coach said he would not apply for the job.

"I do not desire to apply for the job whilst it is clear that I'm not an unknown figure in Ghana.

"I do not think I will have to submit my CV to any one in Ghana to remind them of my credentials."

But if called up today by the GFA as the new coach for the team that earned bronze at the Nations Cup last February, Middendorp says "I will not think twice about accepting the opportunity."

The coach, who departs from Ghana on Sunday, had stints with Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
