Midweek thrills: Hearts in Tamale

The chase for the ultimate title in the Star Premier league will heat up at the various centres as the teams go into mid-week action this afternoon.

At Tamale, Hearts of Oak will be under pressure to justify their winning form as they take on strong opponents, RTU, at the Kaladan Park.

The match will be officiated by referee Mike Amedior, who will be assisted by K. Amaniampong and F. E. Odoi all of Kumasi.

Next in attraction will be the clash between Goldfields and Kotoko, who are in hot pursuit of Hearts. Referee Alhassan Brobbey will be at the centre of affairs and will be assisted by J. Abunyuwa and B. Takyiakwa all from Mampong.

Also crucial will be the match between King Faisal and Bofoakwa at the Kumasi Stadium to be handled by Ho-based referee, Ebenezer Adegah who will be assisted by Benedicta Wormade and I. O. Y. Aklade.

Sekondi Hasaacas travel to Berekum to battle against Arsenals at the Coronation Park where the game will be under the care of Tema-based referees, C. M. Atsatsa, D. Y. Asare and J. Y. Obuobisah.

In Accra, Great Olympics will continue their hunt for victory as they play against vastly transformed side, Adansiman, at the Accra Stadium. The match will be handled by Takoradi-based referees, F. K. Mensah, F. K. Bassaw and G. K. Deku.

At Koforidua, Maxbees will host Okwawu United and the officials for the clash are Tema-based referees, P. K. Azizah, A. Oumarou and Sampson Sowah. Kumasi-based referees, G. K. Manu, E. K. Aboagye and Tabi Amponsah will maintain order at Dawu as Kwaebibirem United play as guest of Dawu Youngsters.

Meanwhile, Liberty Professionals will face Tema Ghapoha in a titanic clash at the Accra Stadium on Thursday to complete the mid-week's pack.

The officials for the match will be Accra-based referees, Jonathan Laryea, Edward Cobbina and A. K. Felba.
