Milan drop Muntari for Italian Cup match

Ac Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has left Sulley Muntari out of the team that faced Sassuolo on Tuesday in the Italian Cup match.

Reason’s for Muntari’s exclusion has been directly linked to his violent reaction to his substitution in the draw with Torino over the weekend.

Milan did not report of an injury to the 30-year-old despite his conspicuous absence in the past two training sessions.

His absence is thus being interpreted as punishment for his violent reaction to being subbed in the Serie-A game against Torino.

The former Inter Milan man furiously threw away a Milan shirt as he sat on the bench having been replaced by Andrea Poli.

Several football fans – especially staunch supporters of the Rossoneri – have called for stiff punishment for the Ghanaian who has a tall record of unruly behaviour in his professional career.

There are hints the club is preparing a hefty fine as punishment for the feisty midfielder.
