Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is set for a crunch meeting with Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac in Milan on Wednesday over his future conduct with the national team, Ghanasoccernet can exclusively reveal.
The expected tense meeting in the Italian city is the first face-to-face meetings between the coach and the player since Muntari was axed from the strict Serbian.
The trainer has prematurely broken off his holidays in his home country to start monitoring his players in Italy ahead of the World Cup in South Africa in June.
Key on Rajevac’s agenda as he arrived in Italy on Tuesday was to lay the down the rules for Muntari as he will be recalled into the national team.
The coach is expected to tongue-lash the player for his antics prior to the Africa Cup of Nations and seriously warn him about his deviant ways.
Inter Milan midfielder was axed from last month's African Nations Cup squad due to disciplinary reasons.
His absence was barely felt as the Black Stars, who were without several of their other star names through injury, finished runners-up behind Egypt.
Rajevic has resolved the rift with Muntari as he plots the way forward ahead of the World Cup but wants the midfielder to understand the disciplinary code in camp.
The coach hads already monitoered Dominic Adiyiah at AC Milan’s training ground and watched Tuesday night’s AC Milan-Manchester Untied clash at the invitation of the Italian giants.
He will continue with his trip in Italy with a visit to Udine to see Agyemang Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah while a trip to Stephen Appiah’s Bologna is on the cards.
