Milo to try new players against Bafana Bafana

Accra, Sept 24, GNA - Black Stars trainer Milovan Rajevac has said he will make room for new players during the October 15 friendly encounter against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

The Serbian told GNA Sports that the clash, which comes four days after the final 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier of the Stars against Lesotho in Sekondi, will afford him a big chance to fully assess other players pencilled for the next round of the campaign.

"It will afford me a great opportunity to assess new players. This is the only chance to have a critical look at their abilities." Coach Milo has rated the South African date as one that would be enough to aid him to test new charges in his quest to build a formidable squad rich with the needed reserves.

"The South African team is a strong side and will be a good challenge for us."

The Serbian was however tight-lipped on the exact players he was earmarking, but confirmed the squad will be without most of the regulars.

The squad is likely to be dominated by players the coach will monitor whilst on his European tour, including those who have been out of the team for sometime now.

It will be the first time the two sides will be meeting since 2005 when the Stars beat their South African counterparts 2-0 in the qualifier for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
