Milovan Set for Euro Scouting Mission

Milovan Rajevac says he will turn his attention to scouting more Ghanaian players after the Black Stars tackle their African Nations Championships qualifier against Nigeria.

The Serbian will be in charge of the two leg games against Nigerians for the championships reserved for home based players before setting his sights back on strengthening his side for the resumption of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Rajevac will know Ghana's opponents in the next round of World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday but is already clear in his mind how to prepare for the crucial stage.

"There is enough time to prepare for the next qualifying game and for me it is important to have two excellent players in every position," he told KickOffGhana.com.

"It is very important to go to Europe and see players and also important for the national team to play some top class European opposition before the qualifiers begin."

Rajevac's tenure as Ghana coach has already seen him lose two out of three international games but he feels his side will get better with time.

"When we have Michael Essien back and Asamoah Gyan fit again, we will be a much better team then," he said.

There are a number of players who will eagerly look forward to the Serbian's scouting mission.

Derek Boateng has been on the fringes of the squad since the World Cup in Germany while Francis Dickoh despite some outstanding performances for Utrecht FC continues to be sidelined from the team.
