Mohammed Abubakari elated to win Swedish second-tier league with Helsingborg IF

Ghana's Mohammed Abubakari has clinched the Swedish second-tier league with Helsingborg IF.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been in rich vein of form this term for HIF as they made a return to the Swedish topflight.

He featured in 29 games for Helsingborg, scoring three goals and providing two assists out of the 30 league games.

The experienced midfielder claims he is happy to help to his club and he will continue to do his best for HIF.

“It has been a great season for me personally, I missed just one league game and scoring three goals as a defensive midfielder is very good,” Abubakari told footballmadeinghana.com

“Our qualification is a collective effort, everyone played his part, I wish to thank the fans for their support.”

Abubakari previously played for Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord (WAFA) and for Dutch side Feyenoord.

He became the first player who moved from WAFA to Dutch side Feyenoord on 17 February 2006.

He has previously played for Panserraikos FC, PAOK F.C, Åtvidabergs FF and BK Häcken.
