Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has won the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League Goal of the Season award for his strike against Freiburg.
The UEFA official account took to social media on Wednesday to announce the Ghanaian as the winner of the award, describing the goal as nothing short of extraordinary.
The goal was his first in the match as he hit a brace in the 5-0 win at the London Stadium on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Kudus scored the goal with a belter as he took the ball from his own half and dribbled past three players before slotting it home with his weaker foot.
West Ham United's goal was named in the Europa League as the Goal of the Month for March.
The same goal against Freiburg won Kudus the West Ham Goal of the Season award and also earned him the highest-rated goal by Whoscored.com.
Kudus ended his first year at West Ham with an incredible 20 goal contributions in 45 matches.
The player scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions last season.
