Mohammed Polo says he has not retired yet

Ghana legend Mohammed Polo says he is interested in making a return to club coaching in the top-flight despite a bittersweet campaign with Hearts of Oak last season.

Polo took charge of the Phobians in November last year after the shock exit of David Duncan and had a turbulent spell.

He failed to lead Hearts to the league title and also missed out on second place which could have secured Champions League football for 2015.

Polo’s record of six wins; five draws and seven defeats was deemed not satisfactory and was not handed a contract extension.

“I am not retired as a coach and I’m very available. But for now, I will like to rest and take stock of activities that went on with my former employers, Hearts of Oak, before I return to the game again”, Polo told sportscrusader.com.

“Football is my life and I can’t stay away from it just like that. I am a coach and so it will remain. I miss the game, the fans, the insults, criticisms, suggestions and the drama that comes with the job. It’s part of who we are as coaches and it all adds to the fun.”
