Ghana international Mohammed Salisu has helped his club, AS Monaco, secure qualification to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.
As a result, the Black Stars defender is assured of playing Champions League football during the 2024/25 football season, provided he does not transfer from the French Ligue 1 side.
Mohammed Salisu, aged 25, transferred to AS Monaco from the English side Southampton last summer.
Although an injury caused him to miss several games in his debut campaign in France, the defender secured a place in the starting eleven after recovering from the setback.
On Sunday evening, Mohammed Salisu was in action for Monaco when the team faced Montpellier.
He performed well in defense, helping AS Monaco secure a 2-0 victory and sealing a second-place finish in the French Ligue 1.
This finish means AS Monaco has qualified to play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
