AS Monaco head coach, Adi Hütter, has highlighted how Mohammed Salisu’s Premier League experience will be a key factor when his team faces Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League tie tonight, December 11, 2024, at the Arsenal Stadium in London.
Before his move to France, Salisu played for English side Southampton for three seasons. With Monaco needing a win, they will have to be at their best against Mikel Arteta’s men.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Hütter expressed confidence in the Premier League experience of some of his players.
“We have with us Thilo (Kehrer) and Mohammed (Salisu), who know the Premier League well, as does Takumi Minamino. We also have a very good mix in our squad between these more experienced players and our young talents,” he said.
Salisu has been plagued by injuries this season, managing only 10 appearances so far—three in the Champions League and seven in Ligue 1.
