Ex-Hearts midfielder Moro Abubakar has targeted a return to the domestic top-flight in the second half of the season.

Abubakar, 24, has been inactive since abrogating his contract with Serbian side FK Donji Srem two years ago.

The hugely talented midfielder failed to secure a transfer to Hearts on the transfer deadline day.

But the club's former captain has revealed he will sign for a new club in the second window.

“Yeah, I will come back. I am preparing myself for the second round. At this moment, I haven’t talked to any club but only Hearts of Oak but things didn’t go through,” he told Accra-based Starr FM.

“I am training with Coach Erico at the Lizzy Complex so I know everything will be fine and I will be fit by the time I get a club.”
