Moses Armah happy with Medeama’s form

Medeama president Moses Armah is delighted with his side’s pre-season form. The Mauve and Yellows continued their impressive outing with a commanding 3-0 win over Ghana’s Olympic team in a routine friendly on Sunday.

The win comes on the heels of similar success over Bechem United and a comeback display against Tema Youth.

The team has been preparing under the tutelage of new coach Tom Strand and his assistant Annor Walker ahead of the start of the new season which has been delayed by a court action.

Medeama owner Moses Armah is happy with the progress of his team during the pre-season.

“I’m really pleased with how it’s all coming along,” said Armah. “Our players are finding their form and it’s good for us,” he told the club’s official website.

“This team will do well this season if we continue playing like this. There are few additions and I believe they will fit into our style.”

Of the performance against the Black Meteors, Armah added: “I was delighted with the team. As pre-season goes well, we will be getting sharper in our movements and passing but, at this time, we are building up the resistance of players and getting minutes under the belt.

“In the first half, our passing was crisp and precise. We looked real threat at top end of the field. I was also very pleased with how we defended. We are in good shape and I am delighted.”

Medeama will participate in the maiden edition of the Oil City Cup involving Kotoko, Hearts and Hasaacas at the Essipong stadium this weekend.
