Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has sealed a permanent move to Spanish club Deportivo Alaves, FootballMadeInGhana.com can exclusively reveal.
The 26-year-old joined the Spanish club as a free agent after officially terminating his contract with Panathinaikos.
Wakaso met officials of his former club in Milan on Friday to reach an agreement over his contract termination.
The former Rubin Kazan man then signed for Alaves within hours after being declared a free agent.
Wakaso will thus be playing in La Liga once more again having played the last half of last season on loan with relegated Granada.
He is said to have rejected offers from several clubs including a mystery English club where he could have pocketed a signing-on fee of over £2m.
The Ghanaian international is expected to travel to Spain soon to be unveiled as the latest signing of Alaves.
