Multi TV and Somotex support SWAG Awards

Accra, June 27, GNA - Multi TV, one of the fastest growing pay television stations in the country and their accredited agents, Somotex Ghana Limited have supported the 36th Edition of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, (SWAG) scheduled for July 2, at the Banquet Hall Stat= e House, Accra.

The two institutions are providing the Association with a total sponsorship of 32,320 Ghana Cedis for the successful organization of the event. The package includes 30,000GHC worth of airtime for the promotion of the event on various programs to be developed by the station for the event. It is also inclusive of 16 digi-boxes for selected award winners and the Association's secretariat situated at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra. Ken Ashiegbey, Chief Operating Officer of Multi TV, said the support i= s part of their commitment towards the development of sports in the country. He expressed the hope that their contribution will help the Associatio= n to stage a successful Awards Night.

Multi TV and Somotex Ghana Limited now join the tall list of organizations sponsoring the prestigious event this year. Over 30 individuals and organizations will be decorated on the Night b= y the Association for their excellent performance.

The top most awards for the Night will be the Sports Personality of th= e Year, which has Asamoah Gyan, Richard Kingson and Joseph Agbeko as contenders whilst Andre Dede Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Richard Kingson are vying for the Footballer of the Year award.
