MultiChoice donate to GOC

Accra, Aug 11, GNA - MultiChoice Ghana Limited, local representatives of DStv, a satellites television company has presented items worth about 2000 dollars to the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) in a short ceremony in Accra.

The items included 45 kit bags each containing a tracksuit, t-shirt, caps and water flasks valued at 45 dollars each.

Presenting the items, Mrs Anne Sackey, the Public Relations Executive of MultiChoice, Ghana said the presentation, which is being replicated in all countries that the company operates on the continent is to boost the moral of the athletes before the games.

She said the Athens 2004 Olympic Games is destined to be etched in memory as one of the most important events for Ghanaians and it was for this reason that her company is proud to be involved to help achieve that goal.

Alhaji Rashid Bawa, Minister of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports received the items and thanked MultiChoice for the presentation.

He pleaded with the company to keep their doors always open for other sporting disciplines when they call on them for help since sports development in Ghana and for that matter the African continent is the intension of all. 11 Aug 04
