Steaua Bucuresti midfielder Muniru Sulley has begun rehabilitation after undergoing successful surgery on a facial injury.
The 23-year-old went under the knife on Tuesday at the Surgery Clinic Oral-Maxillofacial of the Military Emergency Hospital “Dr. Carol Davila.”
Sulley came out worse after he was headed in the face by an Astra Giurgiu player during a Romanian League Cup semi-final second leg two weeks ago.
He had to be rushed to a hospital in Bucharest in an ambulance and was admitted as an emergency case.
The battling midfielder suffered a cheekbone fracture.
Steaua Bucuresti have announced that the player’s recovery will be between 3-4 weeks.
He has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
